Initially, at-home spa nights started out as just a Sunday night thing but after a year in quarantine, you’ll find me doing a face mask almost every night. There are few things in this world that make me happier than sitting in a hot bath with a glass of wine in hand and a mask on my face. (I know you’re nodding your head in agreeance while reading this.) Now that I’m doing them more often though, I needed more affordable options. Thankfully, you don’t have to spend a million bucks to look like a million bucks. Enter, the best beauty face masks from Target that are under $50.
If you’re like me and can’t afford to spend a lot on skincare, but you also want to take good care of your skin, have no fear, Target is here. I swear, every time I go into Target for laundry detergent and tampons, I come out with at least three new face and eye masks to try… and I usually end up forgetting the laundry detergent. Every once in a while, I find something that is worth a splurge, but all of these beauty products are under $50 and give me the same results. I am obsessed with the new Target Clean section, too, because I know exactly what I’m buying and what I’m putting on my skin (which is why most of the products below are clean).
Read on for our list of the best beauty face masks (and under-eye masks) from Target… and when your shopping cart has 20 items in it, please find it in your heart to forgive me.
Best Face Masks:
Product Name: Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay Facial Treatment – 15.5oz
Why We Love It: The way that it tingles and tightens your skin is amazing. I struggle with clogged pores on my chin and just a little bit of this clay mask leaves them smaller and smoother every time. Bonus? You can even use it on your scalp.
Product Name: BYBI Acid Gold AHA Face Mask – 1.7 fl oz
Why We Love It: The ingredient list abides with the Target Clean program so I know I can trust it’s safe for my skin. The tingling effect of this mask is real (who said clean couldn’t be effective) and it smells delicious too. It is definitely one of my new faves and it pairs perfectly with BYBI’s Clear Facial Cleanser and C-Caf Day Facial Cream.
Product Name: BYBI Supergreens Clay Face Mask – 2 fl oz
Why We Love It: Compared to the Acid Gold Mask, this mask really balances and calms my skin. I use BYBI’s Bakuchiol Booster Facial Treatment (which is a great natural alternative to retinol) after I take the Supergreens mask off, and the combo leaves my skin so dewy and smooth.
Product Name: Urban Hydration Pink Clay Whipped Mud Facial Mask – 6.7 fl oz
Why We Love It: The Camille Styles Team is a big fan of Urban Hydration products, especially this plant-based Pink Clay Mask. The Black-owned company was started by new parents wanting sustainable skincare for the whole family and it’s safe to say, they’re changing the game, one incredibly product at a time.
Product Name: Cetaphil Pro Derma Control Purifying Clay Mask – 3oz
Why We Love It: There is nothing more reassuring than hearing that a face mask is both dermatologist-tested and recommended—this Cetaphil Purifying Mask checks off both boxes. You can’t go wrong with this trusted brand.
Product Name: Versed Photos Please Brightening Tightening Face Mask – 1.5 fl oz
Why We Love It: Non-toxic, cruelty-free, vegan, no synthetic fragrances… the list goes on for all Versed products. If you haven’t tried out this brand, I also recommend their Day Dissolve Cleansing Balm and the Dew Point Moisturizing Gel-Cream. This specific mask comes in a squeezable pouch that makes it so easy to travel with, too. Perfect to keep in your purse for on-the-fly spa moments.
Product Name: Neutrogena Moisturizing Hydro Boost Hydrating Face Mask – 1oz
Why We Love It: I have been a Neutrogena Hydro Boost Moisturizer groupie for years, so naturally, this mask is one of my faves. Both the moisturizer and the mask are true thirst-quenchers for the skin.
Product Name: Burt’s Bees Detoxifying Clay Face Mask – 2.5oz
Why We Love It: The charcoal in this mask works wonders on oils and toxins that clog pores, and goes on super smooth. Plus, it’s 99% natural and free of parabens, and has a great fruity smell.
Product Name: Teami Green Tea Detox Mask – 4oz
Why We Love It: I’ve always loved a good green tea, and now I struggle to decide what I like more: drinking it or putting it on my face. I seriously noticed immediate results from this one. It is great for reducing redness, minimizing pores, and clearing blemishes.
Product Name: Cocokind Resurfacing Sleep Mask – 1.7oz
Why We Love It: If you have sensitive skin, Cocokind is a brand you should look into trying. I’m a night owl and need all the help I can get looking refreshed in the mornings. This mask does the trick by locking in hydration and helping to brighten the appearance of dark circles.
Product Name: Sweet Chef Beet & Vitamin A Sheet Mask 5 ct
Why We Love It: Beets have clearly been on my mind recently, but if you aren’t a big fan of eating them, you can still incorporate them into your skincare routine with this sheet mask. Sweet Chef includes natural produce-based ingredients, like ginger and turmeric, to take her skincare products to a whole new level of clean.
Product Name: Versed The Shortcut Overnight Facial Peel – 1 fl oz
Why We Love It: A little of this goes a long way. A pea-sized amount will exfoliate, brighten, and hydrate your face, all while you sleep. Perfect for a lazy skincare routine—just put it on and rinse it off when you wake up.
Product Name: Botanics Simply Calm Hydrating Overnight Mask for Stressed Skin – 1.69 fl oz
Why We Love It: This clean and vegan overnight mask is the thick and calming skin solution you’ve been looking for. Not only does the Cannabis Sativa improve stressed skin, but this product will also take the stress out of your bedtime routine. And if you’re still curious about CBD, you can read about it here.
Best Under-Eye Masks:
Product Name: Pixi DetoxifEYE Facial Treatment – 60ct
Why We Love It: If you are going to try one product on this list, it should be these detoxifying and depuffing eye masks. Not only do these masks provide instant gratification, but this pack will last forever. Pro tip: store them in the fridge for an enhanced cooling effect.
Product Name: Pacifica Eye Bright Undereye Vitamin C Patches – 0.23oz
Why We Love It: These Vitamin C patches are a game-changer for dull under-eyes. They are 100% vegan and made with vitamins, marine plant extracts, and natural bio-cellulose. I love putting these on first thing in the morning to brighten up my face.
Product Name: Pacifica Vegan Collagen Face and Eye Mask – 0.23oz
Why We Love It: Another Pacifica favorite, these collagen masks help with dryness and aging. I love the shape of these specific under-eye patches because they double as smile line masks.
Product Name: Yes To Cucumbers Depuffing Under Eye Masks – 16ct
Why We Love It: Another dermatologist-tested product, these Yes To Cucumbers Eye Masks are the perfect under-eye moisturizer for my sensitive skin friends. The cucumber scent is refreshing, without being overwhelming. Say yes to better under-eyes in just 10 minutes. (P.S. their 2-step Eye Kit with Aloe Vera is also incredible.)
Product Name: e.l.f. Hydrogel Under Eye Masks – Set of 3
Why We Love It: I am always shocked how a product can be so lightweight, yet so moisturizing, which is definitely the case with these Hydrogel masks. After using these, I had to do some research to find the source of this magic and learned that hydrogel can hold up to 500x its weight in liquids, which is what makes it so ultra-nourishing.
Product Name: Burt’s Bees Renew Natural Hydrogel Eye Mask – 1ct
Why We Love It: Apparently Hydrogel is my new favorite word because I really got excited when I found these renewing eye masks with the same superhero ingredient as the e.l.f. masks I mentioned earlier. Not that scent is super important for an eye mask, but this product is watermelon scented and if you’ve ever smelled one of Burt’s Bees watermelon-scented products, you know that this is a plus.
Product Name: Fortify+ Natural Bacteria-Fighting Skincare Rejuvenating and Firming Under Eye Pads – 5ct/3.7oz
Why We Love It: Who knew that an under-eye mask could do so much for your skin? These patches use a Zeolite formula to fight bacteria that can enter through your eyes, nose, and mouth and cause illnesses. If that alone doesn’t sell you, they are also made with collagen to reduce wrinkles and enhance vitality, and aloe vera to moisturize the area. It’s a one-stop-shop kinda eye mask.
Next time you stop by Target just to grab a few essentials, take the detour into the beauty aisle. It’s worth it for your skin and your soul.
