West Bengal Snap Poll: Days ahead of the much-awaited West Bengal Assembly Elections, ABP News along with C-Voter conducted a survey to gauge the mood of voters and understand the their expectations and demands.
During the survey, it was found that Trinamool Congress (TMC) still remains to be the first choice of voters with 42 per cent respondents saying they would vote for Mamata Banerjee-led party in the upcoming polls.

However, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is giving a tough fight to Mamata Banerjee and her party with gaining confidence of 36 per cent people. In the survey, 36 per cent people said they would voter for the saffron party.
Meanwhile, the third front comprising Congress and Left parties managed to gain confidence of just 17 per cent voters in the state.
When asked about the most preferable candidate to be the chief minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee again emerged as top choice with 50 per cent respondents voting in her favour.
Meanwhile, 26 per cent voters feel that BJP’s West Bengal President Dilip Ghosh is an ideal CM candidate. BJP’s Mukul Roy bagged around 15 per cent voters to become the chief minister whereas Congress’ Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury got mere 2 per cent votes.
Another interesting question of survey which was are you angry with the current state government and would want to change it, 43 per cent responded in yes whereas another 43 per cent said that they are angry, but do not want to change it. 14 per cent respondents said that they are not angry with Mamata’s government and do not want to change it.

When asked about how would people rate performance of Mamata Banerjee as Chief Minister, 57 per cent people said she is good at her job, while 26 per cent felt she is poor. 19 per cent respondents rated her performance ‘average’.
When asked about TMC’s performance as the ruling party, 53 per cent said it is good. 34 per cent rated TMC’s performance as poor whereas 13 said it to be averge.
West Bengal is headed for a high-voltage triangular electoral contest with TMC, BJP and the Congress+Left alliance are trying their best to woo voters. Voting to select the next legislative assembly in the 294-member house wil take place in 8 phases starting March 27.
Counting of votes will take place on May 2.
