Windsor Fire and Rescue Services battled a pair of fires late Friday and into Saturday morning.
The first was a house fire on in the 500 Block of Janette Avenue that crews arrived at around 10 p.m. on Friday. Nearly an hour into trying to control the blaze, firefighters switched to an exterior attack.
It wasn’t until after 12 midnight that officials had the fire under control, but crews were still dealing with hot spots.
There was no word on injuries, the cause or cost of the damage to the home. However, WFRS and Windsor Police Service continued to investigate on Saturday.
WFRS also responded to a second fire in the 9600 block of Midfield Crescent around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Four people were displaced by the blaze with damage estimated at $250,000 with the investigation of the cause still ongoing.
