I was so happy to read how students of Catholic Central high school will finally be getting a new school.
I was a student in that building in the mid-1960’s when it was known as Harry Guppy elementary and High School of Commerce.
At that time, it was already an older school, but the only one in Windsor that offered a focus on commercial subjects such as typing, bookkeeping, etc. There was no athletic grounds to speak of, but we made do with what we had.
I enjoyed my high school experience and am thrilled for these students.
They deserve it. A new school has been a long time coming.
