Ontario Provincial Police have charged two people after finding drugs in a vehicle in the parking lot of Belle River Marina.
The OPP’s community street crimes unit searched the vehicle on March 9 at approximately 5:25 p.m. after observing cannabis inside during a patrol of the area prompted by resident complaints of drug and alcohol use in the area.
After two people exited the vehicle, officers found a quantity of cocaine, a scale and money inside.
Marius Antoneac, 21, of Lakeshore has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking in relation to the cocaine seized and resisting arrest.
Antoneac is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on May 3.
An unidentified, 21-year-old from Windsor has been charged with having care and control of a motor vehicle with cannabis readily available.
