Homeschooling, student mindfulness, & education technologies among topics to be highlighted in first virtual fair for UAE schools
NxtShow has announced that it will host the first virtual fair for UAE schools this month to showcase a wide range of study options in the country and shed light on key learning opportunities and challenges. Set to take place from March 23 to 24, the 2021 edition of the UAE Schools Fair will bring together top UAE school representatives, students, parents, education experts and providers, and other members of the academe in one virtual space for an opportunity to engage and learn.
During the two-day event, students, parents and guardians are given direct access to school representatives and experts to enable them to make queries about school programs, systems, policies, and best practices, among others, with the end goal of guiding them towards making an informed decision. They can obtain information on admissions, scholarships, tuition and other fees, and offered programs.
The UAE Schools Fair will also feature forums to highlight the latest topics and trends impacting education today, including the emotional wellbeing of children and young adults, as well as the transformation in the country’s learning eco-system in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Njoud Majali – CoFounder of NxtShow, said: “The virtual UAE Schools Fair is the result of a series of discussions between local parents and educators who agreed that there is a need to provide insights on how best to adapt to the present circumstances in terms of learning. The virtual event is an ideal venue to tackle a myriad of pressing concerns of parents and teachers, including homeschooling, new teaching technologies, and student mindfulness in the face of unprecedented challenges.”
“As such, the UAE Schools Fair will not only serve as a platform to give parents clarity on the participating schools’ learning methodologies and systems, and UAE learning institutions a chance to showcase their programs, tools, and practices. But, more importantly, the virtual education fair will also highlight key subjects of local and global importance to help all stakeholders create a roadmap of the future of schooling in light of the unexpected changes we constantly face such as in the case of the current pandemic,” Majali added.
NxtShow’s school fair will shed light on topics titled ‘Student mindfulness: Mindful State to Mindful Trait;’ ‘Educational Trends and Tools from Around the World;’ ‘Equalization and how it affects our children’s higher education choices;’ and ‘Anxiety and stress in teens and how to spot the early signs.’
This year’s roster of elite speakers are Dido Balla, Director of Educational Innovation & Partnerships, MindUP; Peter Schneider, Vice President International, Edsby; Mohamad Saad, Principal, Ajyal international schools; Alfred Gull, Clinical Psychologist (DHCC) and Clinical Psychologist (German Board); and Dina Khalaf, Development & Recognition Manager, International Baccalaureate.
