Can’t Get Enough Tucker? Fox Host Announces New Show ‘Tucker Carlson Today’ – The Political Insider

Fox News host Tucker Carlson has announced a new video podcast that will air three times per week called “Tucker Carlson Today.”

The program will air on Fox Nation beginning on Monday.

The current host of “Tucker Carlson Tonight” announced his new show while pointing out how freedom of speech is currently under assault in America.

“Freedom of speech is under assault, and while the other media outlets are obsessed with censoring original thought and getting smaller, we are expanding, taking on all topics,” Carlson said in a preview video.

“We will not be silenced or canceled,” Carlson added, noting that his show is “expanding.”

The Fox host promises “the in-depth, unfiltered conversations that America needs, making sense of the day’s events and taking a deeper dive into the issues we care about, with the clarity you deserve.”

Tucker Carlson Tonight … And Now Today

News of the “Tucker Carlson Today” show and an expanding presence for one of Fox News’ more successful opinion and commentary hosts comes as other networks are suffering significant rating declines.

Last week, reports surfaced indicating CNN had seen their ratings plummet following Donald Trump’s departure from office, including a nearly 50% drop among the 25-to-54 demographic.

Fox News in general, NewsMax, and MSNBC have also seen their ratings drop since President Biden took office.

The report indicated there is one show managing to survive the post-Trump slump.

“The only one who appears to have been left relatively unscathed is Tucker Carlson’s ‘Tucker Carlson Tonight,’ with about a 5 percent dip in viewership,” the Epoch Times writes.

Was It CNN’s Idea?

When the first ratings for CNN in the Biden era were released in early February, the network’s media gatekeeper Brian Stelter published a piece in which he exclusively focused his attention on Fox.

“Instead of competing by promoting correspondents and putting news coverage front and center, the network prioritized ever more outrageous, ever more extreme opinion,” he wrote.

“‘Tucker Carlson Tonight’ essentially expanded to ‘Tucker Carlson Day and Night.’”

Fox’s solution – “Tucker Carlson Today” and “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”

Carlson’s relentless pursuit of the truth and pointing out the absurd is a staple of his show.

Earlier this week, he blasted Democrat Senators Mazie Hirono (HI) and Tammy Duckworth (IL) as “disgraceful” when they announced they would refuse to confirm white cabinet or senior advisory nominees.

“So here you have two actual U.S. senators announcing in public they will deny jobs to people who have the wrong skin color. That’s not news?” he said.

“In their defense, Hirono and Duckworth are well-known as the dimmest politicians in Washington,” Carlson snarked. “Neither one could carry a dinner conversation.”

Yeah, we’ll gladly watch another show that provides that kind of straight talk on the dangers of the Democrat party.

The host’s acerbic wit and sense of humor make it all the better.
