Virtual Visits Service is Also Available and Enables Patients to See Physicians from the Comfort of their Homes. Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, an integral part of Mubadala Health, will be offering evening clinics during the Holy Month of Ramadan to ensure that patients can see their doctors at the times most convenient for them.
From the first day of Ramadan, patients will be able to book appointments from 9:00PM to 1:00AM in the evening clinics for the most in-demand services including Primary Care, Endocrinology, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Allergy, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Ophthalmology, Urology, ENT, Podiatry and Pain Management.
Daytime clinics will be open from 9:00AM to 3:00PM for appointments. The Emergency Department will continue to be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Patients can also make appointments for the daytime and evening clinics through the Virtual Visits service, which was introduced in 2020 and has become one of the most popular options for patients. Virtual Visits enable patients who do not require a physical examination to see their doctor via videoconference.
In 2020, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s evening clinics saw an increase in patients for complex consultations and for common concerns such dry eye, abdominal pain and headaches, which increase in incidence during the Holy Month.
“During Ramadan, many people are more comfortable booking appointments in the evening because it works with their changed routines. We are providing evening clinics for some of the most in-demand services so that patients with chronic conditions in particular can receive the support they need. Our Emergency Department continues to be open around the clock, so patients can be assured that help is always available,” said Dr. Jorge A. Guzman, the CEO of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.
Virtual Visits can be booked on the ‘Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi Health Portal’ app, which is available on the App Store and Google Play Store.
