Ramadan Books Campaign
McDonald’s UAE has launched the Ramadan Book Campaign for the holy month of Ramadan to encourage families and children to read more.
The initiative is in partnership with Emirates Red Crescent and consists of a series of four books available across the UAE.
Each book covers an important lesson about bullying, open-mindedness, sportsmanship and arrogance.
The books will help children understand the consequences of words and actions.
McDonald’s has previously raised over Dhs 600,000 by selling over 120,000 books donated by Emirates Red Crescent in 2018 and 2019.
Walid Fakih, General Manager at McDonald’s UAE said, “Giving back to the communities in which we operate is a key priority for us at McDonald’s UAE and we are glad to be partnering with Emirates Red Crescent for the third time around this year. This partnership is encouraging community members to give back by helping a child through the purchase of a book. The topics addressed in our books are key values which we hope to educate the next generation on to continue promoting a positive environment.”
Individual books are priced at Dhs 5 each and are available to buy via the McDonald’s App or at McDonald’s restaurants around the UAE.
