78% Of 100 Million Meals Campaign Target Met
The ‘100 Million Meals’ campaign has reached 78% of the donation target within the first week since launch.
The campaign aims to provide individuals and families that have been affected by the pandemic with meals during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
Dhs 78 million has been raised and has provided over 78 million meals through donations made by individuals and companies from the UAE and from around the world.
Food deliveries have begun in several countries including Jordan, Egypt and Pakistan with the aim to distribute meals to 20 countries.
The campaign was announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
To donate, visit the 100 Million Meals website, call the campaign centre at 8004999 or make a bank transfer to Dubai Islamic Bank account with the IBAN number AE080240001520977815201.
Through Etisalat and Du, donations can be made by texting ‘meal’ to the numbers listed on the website depending on the number of meals selected for donation.
