Montreal police have turned to the public in an effort to locate a suspect in connection with a violent assault on a métro car on Jan. 29.
The incident occurred at about 4 p.m., after the suspect, described by a police as an English-speaking Black male in his 30s, boarded a Snowdon-bound Blue line métro train at Acadie station.
The suspect left the train at the Université de Montréal station after allegedly assaulting his victim so viciously with punches and kicks the latter suffered serious injuries to his face and chest.
The suspect fled the scene in a taxi with a licence plate beginning FR07.

Surveillance camera images of the suspect were obtained at the Acadie station. At the time of the assault the suspect was wearing a grey jacket with black zippers, black pants and black and white running shoes. His hair was braided and decorated at shoulder length with coloured balls.
