Protests & bids
Arsenal fans were out in their thousands on Friday evening to attend a protest calling for the club’s owner Stan Kroenke to sell the club.
Most animosity between supporters and the owner has gone back several years the news regarding the Super League last week only increased vocal backlash.
Seeing the protests, Spotify Founder Daniel Ek threw his metaphorical hat into the ring to be in with a chance of buying Arsenal to the delight of supporters.
As a kid growing up, I’ve cheered for @Arsenal as long as I can remember. If KSE would like to sell Arsenal I’d be happy to throw my hat in the ring.

However, despite the hope, it appears any chance of a sale is very slim.
Astronomical bid
David Ornstein reported this morning that the Kroenke ownership would only consider selling the club were they to receive an ‘astronomical’ bid.
? “They’re not going anywhere, it would take something astronomical for them to consider selling.” @David_Ornstein says the Kroenke’s are long-term investors and there’s a very slim chance they will sell Arsenal pic.twitter.com/2w31HFiXlw

The Telegraph this morning reported that they would be willing to sell if a bid in the region of £2 billion came in. Could this be the ‘astronomical figure that The Athletic reporter was alluding to?
Josh Kroenke attended a Fan Forum last week in which he told supporters they had ‘no intention’ of selling the club.
Instead, they have ‘big plans’ to invest and want to rebuild trust with the supporter base.
