Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Bogusz is wanted back in Poland by Legia Warsaw, it has been revealed.
Bogusz was sent on loan to Spanish Segunda División side Logrones last summer to further his experience. However, after a bright start, he has been restricted to just 137 minutes of action since the start of February.
However, the Poland Under-21 international is not short of admirers and it’s now reported that Legia coach Czesław Michniewicz is keen on a deal. As per Sport.pl, Michniewicz is desperate to reunite with Bogusz, having worked with him during his time as Poland U21s.
Michniewicz, however, fears the Polish club could struggle to complete the transfer.
“I like players of this type like Mateusz. Mateusz has a great technique, a sense for a combination game,” Michniewicz said of Bogusz, via Sport Witness.
“He has had a tremendous amount of work with coach Marcelo Bielsa in terms of getting around the pitch. He shows his behaviour as a model.
“I must admit that I would like him to be in Legia. It may not be a realistic transfer, because Bielsa did not want to agree to loan Mateusz to Spain. Many English clubs prefer to loan them to League One than to another leagues, and unfortunately they treat us that way.
“As of today, I would give a few percent chance of succeeding [to sign Bogusz]. I would though very much like him to come to Legia.”

Leeds keen on Rubin Kazan star
Leeds United are reported to have made contact with Rubin Kazan over a deal for highly-rated young winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
With Bielsa’s side now safe from the drop, the club are planning their strategy for the 2021 transfer window.
While a new midfielder is a top priority, Leeds director of football Victor Orta has also reportedly made contact for Kvaratskhelia.
The 20-year-old has caught the eye on the international stage, having scored against Spain last month.
He has three goals in eight appearances for his country and looks a future star.
Indeed, Bayern Munich are also reported to have made contact over a prospective move.
