Partey, Pepe rested
Arsenal travel to Newcastle in an attempt to get a much needed win and boost their confidence and momentum ahead of the second leg of their Europa League semi-final tie against Villarreal.
Despite the need for a win, Mikel Arteta has made a number of huge changes for the match.
Thomas Partey, Pablo Mari, Rob Holding, Calum Chambers, Emile Smith-Rowe, Nicolas Pepe and Bernd Leno are all brought out of the team for the match.
In comes Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Gabriel Martinelli, Willian, Gabriel Magalhaes, David Luiz, Hector Bellerin, Mat Ryan and Mohamed Elneny.
Still no place on the bench for Alexandre Lacazette or Kieran Tierney who were said by Arteta to be in contention for the game in midweek last Thursday.
The Spaniard will be hoping that both can make a swift recovery ahead of the game against the Spanish side but will be just yearning for no further injury concerns from today’s game.
Arsenal XI: Ryan; Bellerin, Luiz, Gabriel, Xhaka; Elneny, Ceballos; Willian, Odegaard, Martinelli; Aubameyang
Subs: Leno, Saka, Cedric, Partey, Pepe, Chambers, Mari, Nketiah, Smith Rowe

No Willock against parent club
Meanwhile Newcastle will be without star signing Joe Willock as he is unable to play against his parent club.
The England youth international has scored a number of huge goals for the side against Liverpool and Spurs to help them push themselves away from the relegation zone.
Bruce has instead gone for a back 5 and pushed Allan Saint-Maximin into a second striker role supporting the returning Callum Wilson for his first start for some time.
Miguel Almiron will be a midfield attacker Bruce will hope can provide the energy lost in Willock’s absence.
Matty Longstaff and Jonjo Shelvey make up the rest of the midfield.
A win for Arsenal would move them back into the top half meanwhile a win for Newcastle would have them practically safe from the drop.
