Mumbai: It won’t be wrong to say that Salman Khan’s ‘Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai’ is the biggest release on any OTT platform after Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani starrer ‘Laxmii’. While ‘Laxmii’ got the biggest ever opening on Disney+Hotstar, ‘Radhe’ has shattered all the records by becoming the most watched film on its first day.
The action drama, which premiered on ZEEPlex and leading DTH operators, received a mind-boggling response from the audience. It garnered over 4.2 million views across various platforms on its opening day.
Salman took to social media to thank the fans for showering the film with love and adulation. The ‘Bharat’ actor wished the fans Eid Mubarak and said that film industry won’t survive with their love and support.
“Wishing everyone a very Happy Eid. Thank u all for the wonderful return gift by making Radhe the most watched film on day 1. The film industry would not survive without your love n support. Thank u,” Khan wrote.
Many users logged in at the same time to watch ‘Radhe’ on ZEE5’s platform on Thursday afternoon. The server of ZEE5 crashed due to heavy traffic within few hours of release.
The much-awaited film raked in decent numbers in the international markets like UAE. Salman’s magic has worked again as the movie managed to grab eyeballs despite receiving scathing reviews from the critics.

‘Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai’ also stars Disha Patani, Randeep Hooda and Jackie Shroff in key roles. The movie, which is based on ‘The Outlaws’, was earlier supposed to release on Eid 2020; however, it got delayed due to the COVID-19 crisis.

‘Wanted’, ‘Bodyguard’ ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, ‘Race 3’ and ‘Bharat’ hit the silver screens on Eid. Salman has set the box office on fire whenever his film releases during the festive season. Both ‘Race 3’ and ‘Bharat’ were heavily panned after release but the movies had set the cash registers jingling.
