Certain Groups Exempt From Vaccine
The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee and the Department of Health have announced groups of individuals that are exempt from receiving the jab with approval.
Individuals that are exempt include individuals that are COVID-19 positive, individuals that are part of clinical trials for other vaccines, recipients of the vaccine from outside the country, pregnant women, individuals that have recovered from COVID-19 and are waiting their medical evaluation, diseases that are not compatible with the vaccine after medical evaluation and individuals allergic to vaccines or components of the vaccine.
Individuals that are part of these categories can apply for an exemption by visiting an authorised medical centre in Abu Dhabi. The centre will submit the medical evaluation to the Department of Health for approval. Once approved, the individual will receive a text message on their registered number.
The exemption will also be seen on the Al Hosn App.
