Israel’s Cabinet will reportedly meet on Sunday to discuss a “long-term” ceasefire plan in Gaza, according to several unconfirmed reports.
An unnamed Israeli source told the Financial Times that the meeting will be held later on Sunday, Al Arabiya reported.

Senior defense officials have reportedly been pushing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Minister of Defense Benny Gantz to work towards a ceasefire that would end Israel’s ongoing violence in Gaza and in occupied territories, the Jerusalem Post reported on Sunday.
Saudi Arabia condemns Israel’s violations against Palestinian rights, Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan during talks between the foreign ministers of member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation on Sunday.
The Kingdom calls for an immediate end to Israeli escalation in Palestine, he added.
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) on Sunday condemned Israeli airstrikes in Gaza and said the raids were preventing organizations from helping injured civilians in the city.
“For people in Gaza, access to hospitals and other vital infrastructure has become very complicated because of the incessant airstrikes and major damage to roads and buildings,” Robert Mardini, ICRC’s director-general, said.
At least 181 people have been killed in Israeli raids on Gaza, including 52 children, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said on Sunday.
The number of injuries among the city’s residents also rose to 1,225, according to official reports.
That number is expected to rise as ambulance and civil defense teams continue to dig through the rubble of dozens of destroyed buildings and pull out bodies from underneath them in the city, according to an Al Arabiya correspondent.
