Life is full of responsibilities and stresses, and that was even before the coronavirus pandemic began.
Sometimes we just need to take a moment to enjoy something that makes us smile—and this viral video of two cats cuddling while walking side by side is just the tonic.
In the footage, posted to TikTok by user annie___m, a grey tabby cat and a black cat can be seen travelling down a snowy path, intertwined in each other’s tails.
Each feline has their bodies pressed against the other one, with their tail wrapped round their companion as the navigate the cold outdoors. They look just like two friends hugging on a stroll.
The video is captioned with a heart-eyed emoji, and the hashtags: “#happycat #cats #happy #love #animals #fypcats #рек.”
The adorable scene has so far been viewed over 12.5 million times since it was posted January 27, and received 2.4 million likes.
However it has also very recently been doing the rounds on some meme Instagram accounts, with it receiving upwards of 336,000 likes when posted on Pubity on May 18.
Many took to the comments section to share their thoughts on the adorable TikTok clip.
One person, Remi Andreas Kvalhei, wrote: “we just witnessed two pretty best friends.”
Another, Jazz, added: “They are hugging with their tails.”
Vanessa commented: “They waited for each other when they stopped this is too cute.”
Whereas elle marie p typed: “Cats have soul mates. When their favorite cat passes away they rarely bond again. I see it happen in my feral colonies. Beautiful to see.”
Erica Schnell mused: “I think when cats walk under our feet and trip us they’re actually trying to do this to us but we’re too big and awkward.”

The video was posted to TikTok on May 11 by Taylor Hoff, known online as taylorhoff08.
In the clip, the two nuzzle up together, with the black fluffy feline at one point curling his tail around the fawn.
The pair then touch noses, clearly getting to know each other in a scene that appears to be straight out of a wholesome cartoon.
