Food portal HungryGoWhere announced on its Facebook page Tuesday (June 8) that it will be ceasing operations after 15 years of service.
According to its announcement, its last day of service will be on 11 July 2021.
However, it did not mention the reason for its closure.
In a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page for customers, the platform said that all reservations for July 11 or earlier would have been confirmed by the restaurants involved.
Before July 11, HungryGoWhere will still be accepting reservations, and customers can still make new reservations, or change their existing reservations via the site.
If a customer’s reservation falls on or after July 12, they will have to call the restaurant to reconfirm their booking.
It also added that its HungryRewards programme will be discontinued on 30 June 2021. The programme allows customers to earn cash credits when they make a reservation with the platform.
If customers have accumulated Hungry$ in their accounts, they can transfer them to Dash cash credits by 30 June 2021.
HungryGoWhere also said that all content, such as food reviews will be taken offline at the end of the day on July 11.
One of Singapore’s pioneer food sites
HungryGoWhere was established in 2006, and is one of Singapore’s first food websites. The site was acquired by Singtel in 2012, and is owned by Singtel Digital Media.
Besides food reviews, the portal also allows users to enjoy exclusive deals, place orders online, and make reservations as well.
In its announcement, it said they were proud to have served the community and hoped that they have improved users’ dining experience.
Moving forward, they expressed their wish for Singaporeans to continue supporting food and beverage businesses in the nation.
