Green Pass On Al Hosn App
The Ministry of Health and Prevention has announced the approval of a green pass in order to ease restrictions. The green pass will use the Al Hosn App to show an individual’s vaccination status and PCR test validity.
Federal and local authorities will use the Al Hosn App to assess an individual’s needs and procedures, to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all citizens, residents and visitors is created.
Various categories have been created based on if both doses of the vaccine are taken, one dose has been taken, medical exemption and more.
Category 1 will include individuals that have received their second dose at least 28 days earlier or are volunteers in vaccine trials. A negative PCR test result will see the Al Hosn status in green for 30 days as well as show the active icon (letter E or gold star) for 7 days.
Category 2 will consist of individuals that have received their second dose less than 28 days earlier, a negative PCR test result will see the Al Hosn status in green for 14 days.
Category 3 is for individuals that have received their first dose and are waiting for their second dose appointment, a negative PCR test result will see the Al Hosn status in green for seven days.
Category 4 is for those who have received their first dose and are late to their second dose appointment by 48 days or more, a negative PCR test result will see the Al Hosn status in green for three days.
Category 5 will include individuals that have vaccine exemption certificates as per approved processes. A negative PCR test result will see the Al Hosn status in green for 7 days.
Category 6 are for unvaccinated individuals that do not have vaccine exemption. A negative PCR test result will see the Al Hosn status in green for three days.
For all categories, the Al Hosn status will turn grey when the relevant PCR test validity ends. The status will turn red when the test result is positive and the approved procedures will need to be followed.
