There was an increase of 10 confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported on Saturday by the Windsor -Essex Health Unit.
Of those cases, five were close contacts of confirmed cases, three were acquired in the community and two are still being investigated.
There are presently 122 active virus cases with 13 of those in hospital.
Among active cases 56 are variants of concern.
There have been 433 deaths to date attributed to COVID-19 in the local area.
There are currently three workplaces listed as being under outbreak status and two others in the community.
A total of 264,246 residents in Windsor and Essex County have now received at least one dose of a vaccine with 70,988 residents having received both doses.
Across Ontario, there were 502 new virus cases reported on Saturday, according to the province’s health minister Christine Elliott. There were also 15 more deaths.
Among cities with the highest numbers were Toronto with 89 new cases, 71 in Peel, 51 in Waterloo, 37 in York Region and 31 in Durham.
The seven-day daily average of new cases for the province is at 533 — down from 844 a week ago.
As of 8 p.m. on Friday, Ontario went over the 11 million mark for residents being vaccinated.
There have now been 11,022,452 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine which have been administered, including 195,032 doses on Friday.
