The Battle of the Platforms is finished, and it ended up being a pretty entertaining event.
Austin McBroom absolutely dominated his fight against Bryce Hall, earning a TKO victory. The two social media stars put up a bet against one another that they’d have to pay the other a $1 million bonus in the event of a knockout. But since the referee intervened, it’s not clear if Hall is going to be paying up. Either way, McBroom came away the winner of the main event.
The co-main event between AnEsonGib and Tayler Holder ended in a huge controversy as the judges decided a majority draw finish. AnEsonGib appeared to be the clear winner of the fight, and fans were so upset that “ROBBED” started to trend on Twitter after the ruling.
Even though AnEsonGib didn’t get the actual victory, he did prove to others that he has improved a lot since his loss to Jake Paul. He looked completely lost in the ring fighting Paul, but he was much more polished against Holder. He was upset he didn’t get the win, but fans will respect his boxing efforts more after this performance.

YouTube vs. TikTok fight recaps
Austin McBroom def. Bryce Hall
Absolutely dominating performance by Austin McBroom. He had some strong punches in the first two rounds, but he really turned the heat on in Round 3. He sent a flurry of punches directly at Hall’s head. The ref ended up stopping the fight, and that was a good call so because it looked as if Hall was going to be in trouble. The final numbers showed McBroom landing 29 punches (23 power) compared to Hall’s 10. The fight ended in a TKO, so it’s not completely clear if McBroom earned the $1 million bonus as part of his bet with Hall. At the very least, he earned a lot of money by winning. And even though Hall lost, he still earned $5 million for fighting in this event.
10:58 p.m.: Austin McBroom appears to have won Round 2 as well. He landed several strong shots throughout the round.
10:56 p.m.: Bryce Hall had a point deducted by the referee after he attempted to pick up Austin McBroom. The referee interrupted the fight multiple times to tell Hall to keep the fight clean. McBroom won Round 1 as he was able to land clean punches and even made Hall bleed some.
10:53 p.m.: And the fight is officially underway.
10:50 p.m.: Michael Buffer is here to introduce the fighters.
10:46 p.m. : Austin McBroom and Bryce Hall are making their ring walks. The main event is going to start in a few minutes.
10:20 p.m.: The main event between Austin McBroom and Bryce Hall is up next. But before the main event starts, there will be a musical performance from Lil Baby.
AnEsonGib vs. Tayler Holder: Majority draw
Well this was a controversial finish. So controversial that “ROBBED” started trending on Twitter immediately after the fight.
Many thought AnEsonGib won this fight as he came out swinging and did not stop. His cardio was incredible as he was able to just keep throwing blows repeatedly throughout all five rounds. Tayler Holder did look strong in the fight, but he wasn’t aggressive enough in these two-minute rounds. According to the ring announcer, the three judges scored the fight 49-46, 49-46 and 50-46.
The stats from the fight appear to show AnEsonGib winning as well. He landed 47 total punches, 38 of which were considered power punches. Holder landed 21 punches with 16 power punches.
Even the ref seemed shocked by the result.
“I know in my heart that I won,” AnEsonGib said after the fight. “I was the most dominant, and respect to Tayler, but I beat you. These aren’t even my fans and they’re cheering. So I know I won. I was robbed tonight. I worked very hard for this day and I was robbed. In my heart I know I won.”
10:15 p.m.: As the broadcast noted, Tayler Holder is “getting dominated” right now. He’ll need a knockout in Round 5 to win this thing. We’ll get the numbers later, but AnEsonGib has landed so many more punches in this fight compared to Holder.
10:12 p.m.: Another round where AnEsonGib was the aggressor. So far it feels like he’s won all three rounds with only two rounds left to go. Tayler Holder will need to really turn things up in these final two rounds to end up getting a victory in this one.
10:09 p.m.: Tayler Holder looks like the more traditional boxer, but AnEsonGib has been much more aggressive, albeit unorthodox. So far it seems like AnEsonGib is winning just because he’s been much more aggressive.
10:06 p.m.: The first round is complete. AnEsonGib was able to land a strong body shot, but nothing too much to take away from this one.
10 p.m.: The co-main event is getting ready to start AnEsonGib and Tayler Holder make their ring walks. The broadcast mentioned that Holder has actually been training with Canelo Alvarez in sparring sessions. With Gib’s boxing history against Jake Paul and Holder’s strong training, this fight should be entertaining.
9:45 p.m.: Two fights are left, and they’re the biggest two of the night. AnEsonGib looks to bounce back from his loss against Jake Paul in a fight against TikTok’s Tayler Holder up next. But first, there’s a musical performance by Migos.
Vinnie Hacker def. Deji
Round 3 got off to a wild start as Deji went down seemingly out of nowhere right at the start. It didn’t take long before Vinnie Hacker was able to force a standing eight. Deji returned, but only for a moment as Hacker started to dominate before the ref called the fight. Hacker wins via TKO 44 seconds into Round 3. Interestingly enough, Deji landed more punches (22) than Hacker (20), but there was a clear winner in the end.
TikTok finally gets its first win of the night. YouTube still leads overall, though, 4-1.
9:33 p.m.: Vinnie Hacker looked great in Round 2. So far this has been the fight of the night. Both fighters are able to land punches on one another. Most of the fights so far have been one-sided, but this one feels pretty even through two rounds.
9:30 p.m.: Round 1 complete and Deji came out strong. He attacked a lot, and had a few punches land well. While Deji has been the aggressor, Vinnie Hacker was able to land some punches of his own in the first round.
9:24 p.m.: Deji and Vinnie Hacker have made their ring walks. This fight will start within a few minutes.
9:10 p.m.: Three fights remain with Deji vs. Vinnie Hacker being up next.
DDG def. Nate Wyatt
Credit to Nate Wyatt for being able to go the distance. He took some punches early, and has some clear bruising on his face after this fight. But at the end of the day, DDG was the clear victor here, winning via unanimous decision. The final stats clearly showed the tale of the tape here as DDG landed 40 total punches (35 power punches) compared to Wyatt’s 8 punches. YouTube boxers are now up 4-0 in this event.
In his post-fight interview, DDG said, “I left the strip club last night, I wasn’t even training for this fight.” He also said he’s “one-and-done” with his boxing career.
9:02 p.m.: We’re now entering the fifth and final round. DDG has been the better fighter, but has been unable to get a knockout so far. But if this fight goes the distance, expect DDG to be named the winner.
8:58 p.m.: So much for my previous prediction. Round 3 featured a lot of hugging as both boxers are getting tired.
8:55 p.m.: Two rounds complete, and DDG looks like the stronger boxer. Don’t be surprised if this thing ends in Round 3. It’s also worth noting that the rain has arrived at this outdoor event.
8:50 p.m.: DDG vs. Nate Wyatt has officially started. Again, no headgear in this bout.
8:45 p.m.: This event has had an excellent pace so far. DDG and Nate Wyatt are making their ring entrances now, so the event will start in a few more minutes.
8:42 p.m.: DDG with one of the best quotes of the night ahead of his fight vs. Nate Wyatt: “I’m just here to make money and beat somebody’s ass in the process.”
8:30 p.m.: Three fights down, four to go. Next fight will be DDG vs. Nate Wyatt, but first there’s a musical performance from Mulatto.
FaZe Jarvis def. Michael Le
WOW! We have our first true knockout of the night as FaZe Jarvis landed a vicious blow on Michael Le early on in Round 2. Jarvis looked incredible, and we wouldn’t be surprised if he participated in more of these events in the future. In fact, Jarvis said in his post-fight interview that he’s “100%” going to continue his boxing career.
This was another one-sided fight as Jarvis landed 24 punches (20 power punches ) to Le’s 5 punches. YouTube takes a 3-0 lead.
8:25 p.m.: The fight has offically started. The headgear is off for this fight. It’s been quite the start as both boxers are landing some big punches. Although Jarvis looks like the stronger fighter in Round 1. He got two standing eight counts against Le.
8:20 p.m.: FaZe Jarvis and Michael Le are making their ring walks now. This fight should start soon.
8:15 p.m.: Tanner Fox was on the broadcast earlier and said the comission called his fight off, but Ryland Storms had a different story. He called Fox “a litlte b—” for not being able to make weight, and says the commission would’ve allowed the fight had he made his weight. It’s a shame this fight isn’t happening because these two have some beef now.
8:00 p.m.: The first two fights have completed. And as we mentioned, Tanner Fox’s fight against Ryland Storms has been called off. So FaZe Jarvis vs. Michael Le should be the next fight up. But first it appears there’s a performance by DJ Khaled.
Landon McBroom def. Ben Azelart
As we expected, it didn’t take much time before Landon McBroom ended up winning this fight. He absolutely dominated this bout against Ben Azelart, and the referee stopped the fight 30 seconds into Round 2, crediting him with a knockout. Per the broadcast, McBroom landed 28 punches to Azelart’s 3. YouTube is up 2-0 in the Battle of the Platforms.
7:53 p.m.: This fight got off to a WILD START. Landon McBroom is clearly the better boxer in this fight. It’s just a matter of time before he wins.
7:48 p.m.: Landon McBroom and Ben Azelart have made their ring walks, so this fight should be starting within a few minutes.
7:45 p.m.: Tanner Fox just spoke live and said his fight against Ryland Storms is no longer happening.
7:40 p.m.: The second fight of the night will be up next: Landon McBroom vs. Ben Azelart. But first, a musical performance from Trippie Redd.
Ryan Johnston def. Cale Saurage
What a wild way to get this event started. The referee ended the fight in the fifth round as Ryan Johnston started to really attack Cale Saurage, so Johnston gets credited with a knockout victory. The end-of-the-fight-stats showed Johnston threw 45 total punches compared to Saurage’s 15, and 34 of them were considered power punches. Youtube gets the early victory over TikTok.
7:33 p.m.: Both fighters just came out SWINGING in the fourth round. Ryan Johnston’s nose is bleeding heavily, but he was the better fighter. So far it seems as if Cale Saurage won the first two rounds and Johnston won Round 3 and 4. The fifth round will be the deciding factor.
7:30 p.m.: The fight is starting to turn. Cale Saurage looks like he’s running out of gas while Ryan Johnston is still standing strong. The third round just ended.
7:28 p.m.: As the announcers noted, Ryan Johnston looks like the more polished fighter, but Cale Saurage is landing more effective punches. Although Johnston has been able to get a few punches landed, Saurage has landed the bigger blows.
7:25 p.m.: The first round has ended. There was some initial punches thrown, but then things settled down as both fighters didn’t throw as much. The telecast’s boxing expert says he gave the first round to Cale Saurage.
7:22 p.m.: And the first fight has officially begun. Cale Saurage came out swinging with a few good hits early.
7:20 p.m.: There was a delay in getting the fight started as Cale Saurage was having issues with his headgear.
7:10 p.m.: And the event has started. Cale Saurage and Ryan Johnston are making their entrances now.
