David Beckham could also be a foodie, however his spouse, Spice Girls star Victoria Beckham, prefers to maintain her food regimen easy.
The soccer star appeared on Ruthie Rogers’ food-centric River Café Table 4 podcast to debate his favourite culinary recollections, and revealed that his pop star partner, who he married in 1999, has principally eaten the identical factor for many years.
“I get quite emotional about food and wine, when I’m eating something great I want everyone to try it,” Beckham explained. “Unfortunately I’m married to someone that has eaten the same thing for the last 25 years! Since I met Victoria, she only eats grilled fish, steamed vegetables.”
Victoria did switch things up one time when she was pregnant with the couple’s daughter Harper, now 10. However, Beckham said that while it was one of his “favorite evenings,” he can’t recall what that meal was — but she hasn’t eaten it since.
Victoria’s simple diet is no secret. She told The Guardian in 2019, “I never cook. I used to – when we lived in Spain, I used to cook a lot. But these days I don’t tend to get home till late, so dinner wouldn’t be ready till quite late. David’s a really good cook.”
She added, “I am very, very disciplined in the way that I work out, in what I eat. That’s how I’m happiest. I expect a lot from my body – I’m 44, I’ve got four kids, I work a lot, I travel. For me to do all that, I have to eat healthily and work out.”
In case you were wondering if that discipline extends to birthdays — it does. In December 2020, Posh Spice posted a video of her birthday cake to ring in her 44th year. It was made entirely out of watermelon and berries, which, apparently, was exactly how she wanted it.
“Love from a very lucky mummy,” Victoria captioned the post, which tagged her husband and their four children. “I love u all so so much x kisses.”
