John Legend is reflecting on his spouse Chrissy Teigen’s fertility struggles because the couple tries to have one other little one.
Legend and Teigen welcomed their youngsters Luna, 5, and Miles, 3, with the help of IVF therapies. In September 2020, the couple’s son Jack died months into Teigen’s being pregnant, and the pair shared their household’s grief over the loss on social media.

In an interview with , Legend applauded his spouse for being so open about her fertility struggles.
“There are a lot of women and families that have fertility struggles, and I think no one should feel ashamed of needing some help sometimes,” he defined. “And I think Chrissy’s done a good job of destigmatizing some of these things that so many people go through in silence.”
He added, “Whether it’s IVF, or other fertility struggles, whether it’s losing a pregnancy, I think both of us have felt like it’s good for us to share this with other people because other people are going through it too, we don’t think they should suffer in silence without knowing there are other people out there who are feeling the same thing.”
In 2021, the Cravings creator labored with Resolve: The National Infertility Association on the marketing campaign Fertility Out Loud, which goals to offer assets for these battling fertility. She advised Self of the enterprise, “I wanted people to know that there was going to be a place where they could go and find resources, and a community where they’re surrounded by people who have been on the same journey as them. I’m proud to get to talk to the women I’ve gotten to talk to through it, that I’ve gotten to cry with them and all share our stories.”

“There’s this tendency to portray getting pregnant, having kids, in one light, as if it’s all positive. But I know from my own experience…it’s so much more complicated than that,” she stated. “And when you find out that your pain is shared by others…you just think, I just feel that’s helpful information to have, so I’m not isolated in my pain.”
