A Windsor man is facing an array of charges after a brazen and chaotic incident involving a stolen vehicle and multiple collisions.
Police said patrol officers responded on Sunday night around 8:30 p.m. to a report of a man acting in a disorderly manner in a business in the 1100 block of California Avenue.
The officers arrived to learn that the suspect had stolen a vehicle and fled the area.
The vehicle had been in the area with its engine running and passengers inside. The suspect reportedly entered the vehicle, the passengers exited, and the suspect sped off.
About 10 minutes after police received the initial report, officers spotted the stolen vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed in the area of Wyandotte Street East and Devonshire Road.
The suspect vehicle collided with another automobile, but did not stop and continued speeding away.
No injuries resulted from this collision.
Responding officers tried to stop the fast-moving vehicle, but then decided to abort their attempt in the interest of public safety.
