Delta police is investigating an alleged sexual assault against two children on the grounds of South Delta Secondary School in Tsawwassen.
Police spokesperson Cris Leykauf says the assault is believed to have occurred between 3 and 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Two young boys were playing on the school grounds when they were approached by a male teenager who then started interacting with them. The boys, whose ages were not released, told police that the teen grabbed them by their arms and then touched them in a sexual manner.
Delta police say the teen was described as an “Asian male, aged 15-18, of average height and wearing a red jacket.”
“We understand news such as this is very concerning to parents and that’s why we wanted to get this information out quickly,” said Leykauf. “Our officers are interested in speaking with a small group of males who were playing basketball nearby … who may have had interactions with same male suspect.”
Anyone with information, or drivers with dashcam footage of that area at that time of day, are asked to call Delta police at 604-946-4411 and quote file 20-29588.
