Police in Delta have arrested an 18-year-old in connection with the sexual assault of two boys in Tsawwassen over the weekend.
The incident took place Sunday, Dec. 20, at South Delta Senior Secondary. According to Delta Police, two children were playing on school grounds just after 3 p.m. when the teenager allegedly approached, tried to grab their arms, then touched the boys in a sexual manner.
The 18-year-old arrested Wednesday cannot be identified due to a publication ban. He has been charged with two counts of Sexual Assault, two counts of Sexual Interference, and one count of Assault.
Scheduled to appear in court in early February, the man has several conditions in the meantime, including no communication with the victims.
As well, he is prohibited from visiting any public park, swimming area or community centre where persons under the age of 16 years are present.
