There are 80 people with COVID-19 in hospital, with 17 of them in intensive care. Windsor Regional Hospital is reporting an additional 79 patients with suspected cases of COVID-19 and are awaiting their test results.
Thirty-five locations in Windsor and Essex County have active outbreaks.
Fourteen of them are long-term care and retirement homes. In Windsor, there are outbreaks at Sunrise Assisted Living of Windsor, Huron Lodge, Banwell Gardens Care Centre, The Shoreview at Riverside, Berkshire Care Centre, The Village at St. Clair, and Village of Aspen Lake. In Tecumseh, there are outbreaks at Chartwell St. Clair Beach and Extendicare Tecumseh.
There are also outbreaks at Country Village in Woodslee, Richmond Terrace in Amherstburg, Chartwell Classic Oak Park LaSalle, Sun Parlour Home in Leamington, and La Chaumiere Retirement in Lakeshore.
Five farms in Leamington and four in Kingsville have outbreaks, as does a manufacturing facility in Tecumseh and two health care and social assistance businesses in Windsor and Essex.
Community outbreaks at Assisted Living Southwestern Ontario, Manor Lodge House, and Victoria Manor are still active.
There are school outbreaks at Immaculate Conception Catholic School, St. Mary French Immersion Catholic Elementary School, and L. A. Desmarais Catholic Elementary School.
Two hospitals are also dealing with outbreaks: One at Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare’s Prince Road locations, and two at Windsor Regional Hospital’s Met campus.
