Dh15,000 fine for each attendee, says Dubai’s Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management.
Private family and social New Year’s Eve (NYE) gatherings of more than 30 people are prohibited in Dubai, the emirate’s Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management has announced.
The fine for violating this directive is Dh50,000 for the host and Dh15,000 for each attendee.
This was among the several Covid-19 safety measures approved by the committee.
The committee said that inspections will be conducted to ensure compliance with Covid safety measures. “Violators will face legal action and fines,” the committee added.
Parties must be socially distanced, with a rule of one person per four square metres of space.
