Police are investigating a suspicious death in Ste-Marthe-sur-le-Lac after an altercation.
Deux-Montagnes police were called to a residence on Plaines St. around 9:15 a.m. Saturday in connection with a dispute involving two people, a Sûreté du Québec spokesperson said.
Upon entering the building, officers discovered the body of a 64-year-old woman. She was taken to hospital, where her death was confirmed.
A 47-year-old man was apprehended at the scene and will meet with investigators over the next few hours, the Sûreté du Québec spokesperson said.
Police would not say how the people were connected.
An autopsy will be performed.
