CHICAGO (CBS)– The New Year’s Day winter storm left some within the Chicago space with out energy and brought on delays and cancellations at O’Hare and Midway airports Friday.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in place for all counties, besides Lake (IL) and McHenry counties. Ice and snow is inflicting harmful circumstances on roadways.
As of 4:15 p.m. Friday, 230 flights had been canceled at O’Hare Airport.
Midway Airport was reporting 42 cancellations.
The common delay time at each airports was lower than quarter-hour.
ComEd was reporting 144 energetic energy outages affecting 2,020 prospects, and NIPSCO in Indiana was reporting outages affecting 14,204 prospects.
