The New York Jets have parted methods with head coach Adam Gase after two years, the crew mentioned on Sunday, after a depressing, two-win and 14-loss season.
Gase, the previous head coach of the Miami Dolphins, went 7-9 throughout his first season with the crew, struggling to make an impression because the Jets appeared to show round years of disappointing efficiency.
“While my sincere intentions are to have stability in our organization – especially in our leadership positions – it is clear the best decision for the Jets is to move in a different direction,” crew Chairman and CEO Christopher Johnson mentioned in a written assertion.
The Jets’ final playoff look got here a decade in the past and the crew has not loved a successful season since 2015.
“To our fans, it is obvious we have not been good enough,” mentioned Johnson. “We are committed to building a strong organization, on and off the field.” (Reporting by Amy Tennery; Editing by Diane Craft)
