DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – Dallas County Health and Human Services reported 3,549 additional positive cases of COVID-19 in Dallas County on Tuesday, Jan. 12.
Of those, 2,979 are confirmed cases and 570 are probable cases.
There is a cumulative total of 197,359 confirmed cases (PCR test).
There is a cumulative total of 25,276 probable cases (antigen test).
A total of 1,791 Dallas County residents have lost their lives due to COVID-19 illness after 14 more deaths were reported Tuesday.
“This is over 350 cases higher than we’ve ever reported in a single day,” said Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins. “We’re in our toughest time for COVID spread. Activities that seemed safe to you weeks ago are much less safe now.”
