MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A Colorado-based journey firm has agreed to refund greater than $650,000 to a number of hundred Minnesota music college students after COVID-19 scuttled their journey to Europe final spring.
Attorney General Keith Ellison introduced Friday that Voyageurs International agreed to a settlement calling for the corporate to pay $664,835 in refunds to 344 college students, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported.
Ellison’s workplace mentioned the corporate charged between $6,345 and $9,010 for its 2020 “Ambassadors of Music” tour for highschool college students and their dad and mom. COVID-19 pressured the corporate to cancel the journey however Ellison mentioned the corporate refused to subject full refunds and saved $1,900 in cancellation charges from every pupil. Ellison’s workplace launched an investigation after receiving dozens of complaints.
In addition to the refunds, the settlement requires Voyageurs International to precisely talk its refund and cancellation insurance policies to future Minnesota shoppers.
