Airdrie RCMP are urging caution among pet owners after finding suspiciously placed meat in one of the city’s neighbourhoods.
RCMP said they were called to the Ravenswood neighbourhood of Airdrie about 11 a.m. Saturday to investigate suspicious activity.
There, they found several pieces of raw meat with rice and a loonie on all four corners of multiple intersections in the area.
RCMP said they are unsure why the meat and coins were left out but are warning the public to keep their pets on a leash while out and to take extra precautions when walking with pets.
Those with information about the activity are asked to contact Airdrie RCMP at 403-945-7200, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.P3Tips.com.
