More than 100 dogs rescued from potentially becoming part of China’s canine meat trade will soon land in New York and be on their way to forever homes.
A plane-load of petite pups will touch down at JFK Airport on Jan. 27 after being saved by No Dogs Left Behind, a rescue organization that operates a shelter in Beijing.
Some of the pooches given a new lease on life were seen excitedly barking in footage from before their flight to the States.
The furry friends are up for adoption on the website for the canine rescue organization, which has saved thousands of pups by targeting slaughterhouses, wet markets, traffickers and illegal breeders across China.
A second flight is due to land Jan. 30 with more dogs, who will either go to their new families or foster homes.
