Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City are all ‘monitoring’ Jamal Musiala’s contract roadblock at Bayern Munich with a keen eye, according to a report.
The 17-year-old has exploded onto the scene this season as one of Europe’s most promising talents.
Since moving from Under-19 level in July, he has scored three goals in 20 games. What’s more, the first of those made him Bayern’s youngest-ever goalscorer both for the club and in the Bundesliga.
But while he remains without a regular starting role, the signs are bright for Musiala. As well as his domestic role, he has become an option for England Under-21 boss Aidy Boothroyd.
As such, Bayern are keen to scrap his current youth contract, which has 18 months left to run, and replace it with his first professional deal.
However, Goal claims that discrepancies have emerged over salary expectations between club and player.
Musiala wants to earn £100,000 per week. The youngster and his representatives feel that he has merited such a wage as his already meteoric rise continues to take shape.
However, Bayern are unwilling to stretch to that fee. As such, the report adds that a further impasse could lead to a summer transfer away from Bavaria.
Furthermore, Musiala has received interest from the Premier League, with Liverpool, United and City all keen.
The trio’s interest in the attacking midfielder remains in its infancy, but if he does decide to seek pastures new they could step up their hunt.

Musiala decision to have wider implications
Goal adds that the player and his agents feel that he needs to receive firm backing if he is to flourish further. Such support could come financially, as well as at a club which meets his criteria.
In any case, his contractual decision could affect where he lays his international allegiance.
While Musiala is working with England’s Under-21s, he is also eligible to play for Germany. Indeed, he was born in Stuttgart and moved to England at the age of eight.
