According to The Times, Arsenal will complete the signing of Martin Odegaard from Real Madrid on Monday. It has been reported that the 22-year-old attacking midfielder will join the Gunners on loan from the Spanish and European giants until the end of the season.
Arsenal will pay Madrid a loan fee of £1.8 million and will pay Odegaard his full weekly wage of £38,000, according to the report, which has added that the Gunners do not have the option to make the deal permanent in the summer of 2021.
Odegaard has been struggling for playing time for Madrid this season and is unlikely to get much action if he is to stay at the defending Spanish champions. The 22-year-old Norway international attacking midfielder has made three starts and four substitute appearances in La Liga and ha splayed twice in the Champions League for Zinedine Zidane’s side so far this season, according to WhoScored.
