CHICAGO (CBS) — Skies will be clearing Tuesday night with patchy fog inland, and a low of 15.
High pressure carves out a beautiful day on Wednesday with seasonable temperatures.
The high is 32.
A wintry mix arrives Thursday, for which the high is 37. The storm track looks to pass right overhead, allowing for mild air to sneak into the system.
This path would bring us everything from rain, freezing rain, sleet, and snow to high winds.
Therefore, snow amounts should be minimal, and mostly for areas north if I-88.
This system will open the door for the coldest air mass of the season to move in this weekend.
Bitter cold air stays in place most of next week.
