Former Jets great Kevin Mawae has another NFL coaching job.
Mawae, who was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2019, is joining the Colts as an assistant offensive line coach on Frank Reich’s staff, according to The Athletic.
Mawae, a center who played 16 seasons in the NFL, anchored the Jets offensive line from 1998-2005. He also had stints with the Seahawks and Titans that bookended his career in New York.
Mawae’s most recent job was as an offensive analyst at Arizona State for coach Herm Edwards, who also was his coach for five seasons with the Jets. In 2016, he was an assistant offensive line coach with the Bears.
The 50-year-old Mawae also was an eight-time Pro Bowler, which included sixth consecutive appearances from 1999-2004, and a seven-time All-Pro.
