Windsor police believe a sedan involved in a three-vehicle crash that sent several people to hospital Thursday morning was speeding, and they’re asking the public for surveillance footage of the car.
The sedan — a grey Sebring — collided with a blue Kia and a patient transport vehicle near the intersection of Riverside Drive West and Crawford Avenue at approximately 9:30 a.m.
Several people were transported to hosptital, police said in a news release on Friday. One of the drivers, a male youth, had life-threatening injuries.
There was no patient inside the patient transport vehicle during the crash.
Police had the roadway closed off for roughly 10 hours while the traffic reconstruction unit investigated.
Witnesses saw the Sebring travelling at a high rate of speed prior to the collision, police said. At the time of the crash, it was heading westbound on Riverside Drive West.
Anyone with video surveillance in the area that may have captured the vehicles prior to the collision, or that captured the collision on camera, is requested to check their footage for possible evidence.

A Sebring was reportedly driving erratically in the Prince Road and Matchette Road area before the crash, police said.
No charges have been laid, but the investigation remains active.
