Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha Chief Tejasvi Surya on Sunday launched a fresh attack on Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) calling it “anti-Hindu’ and appealed people to defeat MK Stalin’s party in the upcoming Assembly polls in Tamil Nadu.
The BJP MP from Bengaluru South, Surya asserted that the saffron party respects and promotes all regional languages in the country while DMK represents a bad, virulent ideology that is anti-Hindu.
“Every Tamil is a proud Hindu. This is the sacred land that has the highest number of temples in the country. Every inch of Tamil Nadu is sacred, but DMK is anti-Hindu, so we must defeat it,” Surya reportedly said.

“If Tamil has to survive, Hindutva has to win. If Kannada has to win, Hindutva has to win. BJP represents the spirit of Tamil Nadu and Tamil language,” the BJP leader added.
His remarks have stirred up the political heat in the poll-bound state. Tamil Nadu assembly elections are expected to be held later this year.

In a separate development, Puducherry CM Narayanasamy earlier today lost the majority as the no-confidence motion moved by him was defeated. Before the trust vote, the Congress-DMK alliance’s strength dropped to 11 against the opposition’s 14 in the 33-member assembly. After failing the floor test, Narayanasamy walked out from the assembly along with other Congress leaders.
