EAD Reveal 10 Year Water Resources Conservation Plan
The Environment Agency in Abu Dhabi (EAD) has launched a 10-year water resources conservation plan along with their partners.
The plan is under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC). The plan will begin from 2021 till 2030.
The water resources management plan includes the priority of conserving water over the next ten years in order to ensure water for the future.
Due to the increase in water demand, the plan will help in bridging the gap by providing water with the currently available resources.
EAD and their partners will use internationally acclaimed practices for new innovations and will also determine the government investments in the sector.
The plan also aims to inform the public through awareness programmes on the importance of preserving water resources and rationing water consumption without wastage.
