Cameras have become a major battleground for smartphones over the years, as manufacturers showcase features like night modes, periscope zoom capabilities, 8K video recording, and more.
There’s a lot more to a smartphone than great cameras though, as the screen, battery life, design, audio, and other categories are also important factors to consider. But that got us wondering just how important the camera is to you. That’s the subject of our poll today, and you can vote by choosing one of the options below.
Personally, a great camera is one of several key factors I keep in mind when shopping for a new phone. Aside from camera quality, I also value fast charging and a big battery. It gives me peace of mind knowing I can charge my phone for five or ten minutes before I rush out of the house and still get a decent top-up.
Then again, you have to try really hard to buy a smartphone with a legitimately bad camera these days. Even phone cameras from companies like HMD, OnePlus, and Motorola are okay at worst, rather than actually being outright bad. Nevertheless, we’ve also got a smartphone camera guide so you can find the best phone for your needs.
