Hair today, gone tomorrow. Well, unless you’re Drew Brees.
Saints quarterback Drew Brees is reportedly still mulling retirement, and the Saints are still fully expecting Brees to call it quits after an illustrious career. Longtime sports guy Dan Patrick seems to believe that to be the case as well, albeit with a little bit of a quirk.
As first noted by Patrick on Monday’s “The Dan Patrick Show,” there was something especially interesting about the video that surfaced of Brees working out — his full head of hair. Patrick jovially notes that Brees’ voluminous locks could point to his future, which is in front of a TV camera for NBC.
In a video released over the weekend of Brees working out, there’s something noticeable about the veteran QB’s dome: His hair has made a comeback.

You’ll notice around the 37-second mark of the video that Brees’ hair seems much fuller, fueling Patrick’s theory that Brees might be gussying up for a camera in his near future.
Brees signed a contract to head to NBC as an analyst once his playing career ends, whenever that may come.
Unlike his on-field production, Brees’ hairline has declined in recent years, with his salad looking a bit on the light side entering the 2021 season. While Brees’ numbers were still among the league’s best in 2020 — 2,942 yards, 24 touchdowns, six interceptions in 13 games — his physical limitations appeared to be on full display.
While the world waits with bated breath over the football future of the 42-year-old Brees, the fabled Saints quarterback seems to have his follicular future well under control.
