He posts stunning photos of green havens in Dubai, as urban plan to make city the world’s best is announced.
Dubai will have 400 per cent more beaches in the next few years, as per an ambitious urban plan announced on Saturday.
About 60 per cent of the Emirate will be nature reserves, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced.

This came as the Dubai Ruler approved an urban plan until 2040. The aim is to make Dubai the best city in the world, he said.

“The aim of the Dubai urban plan is to devise life over the next 20 years. We plan to offer the best quality of life to our residents,” Sheikh Mohammed tweeted.
Dubai’s 2040 Urban Master Plan is the seventh such plan developed for the emirate since 1960.
Between 1960 and 2020, the population of Dubai multiplied 80 times from 40,000 to 3.3 million.
The urban and built area of the emirate increased 170-fold.
