People have struggled with saving power due to the constant need for running water, cooling and heating systems and vehicles.
The average Canadian uses 329 litres of water a day. That is a ton of water.
There are many ways one can be more energy efficient such as turning off the tap when one brushes their teeth, switching off lights in a room, using a bike instead of a car and multiple more methods on saving power.
Conserving power helps one save money on electricity and water bills. Fun fact, if one throws a dry towel in their dryer, you can remarkably reduce drying times.
Overall, If one wants to lower their electricity and water bill, they will also be assisting the earth while doing it. Making some simple changes in one’s lifestyle can genuinely make a difference.
Only one per cent of the earth’s water is accessible freshwater. Considering the earth contains 71 per cent water, that’s not a lot. The average Canadian can easily reduce water use by spending less time in the shower, hand washing dishes instead of using a dishwasher, checking for leaks in faucets and pipes, etc.

On top of all that, saving power will help improve human health. Preserving electricity plays an essential role in reducing pollution in our air and water, thus, creating a healthier community for everyone.
When businesses and people save energy, less is needed to be produced, therefore saving natural resources.
If one makes simple changes in their lifestyle, our planet will eventually change for the better. So the next time you’re thinking about littering, using an unnecessary amount of water or just using more electricity than needed, instead think about all the positive things that come with being more energy efficient.
