A dream knock from youngster Ishan Kishan (32-ball 56) with a record four sixes on his debut and a captain’s knock from skipper Virat Kohli (49-ball 73) powered team India to a sensational 7 wicket win over England in the Ind vs Eng 2nd T20I at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday.
Ishan Kishan today became only the second Indian player to score a fifty in his debut T20I game. After Kishan’s dismissal, Rishabh Pant continued the fireworks and departed on 26 after playing a quickfire cameo. The third T20 between India and England will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on March 16.

Chasing 165 to win, India had a poor start. Opener KL Rahul returned to the pavilion for a duck but Ishaan Kishan completed his half-century in just 28 balls in his debut match. He shared a 94-run partnership for the second wicket with captain Kohli during which he hammered five fours and four sixes off just 32 balls.
Kohli, today, scored 26th half-century of his career. With this, he completed 3000 T20I runs. Shreyas Iyer remaind unbeaten for eight runs. For England, Sam Curran, Adil Rashid and Chris Jordan took one wicket each.
Earlier, a hard-fought 35-ball 46 run knock from opener Jason Roy powered England to 164/6 against India. For India, all-roudner Washington Sundar was the pick of bowlers as he struck twice to remove Roy (46) and Bairstow (20) in quick succession.
India had decided to bowl first after winning the toss. After a humiliating defeat in the series-opener, skipper Kohli made two changes in today’s playing XI from previous game. Many cricket experts and fans had predicted that Ind vs Eng 2nd T20I would witness the return of senior opener Rohit Sharma, but he was again rested.
Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan were handed their India caps by head coach Ravi Shastri as they replaced Axar Patel and Shikhar Dhawan in India’s playing XI.
