India vs England 2nd T20I: Ishan Kishan was the hero for team India as England was defeated in the eighteenth over of the match. It was Ishan Kishan’s debut in International T20 cricket. Kishan’s quick-fire fifty helped India to reach the final total with ease. After the match got over, Ishan Kishan indulged in a fun interview with leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal for a segment called ‘Chahal TV’. In the interview, the batsman had a friendly banter with Chahal. He spoke about his debut speech, his fifty and Captain Virat Kohli’s energy.
Ishan Kishan came to open the innings with KL Rahul but he took India out of danger when India lost Rahul for a duck. His final score was 56 in 32 balls. But in the post-match interview for ‘Chahal TV’, Kishan spoke about an instance that happened on the field after he scored the half-century in Ahmedabad on Sunday.
“I wasn’t sure if I had reached my fifty. I only realized it when Virat bhai said ‘Top innings’. But I am a sought of a player who is a little skeptical of raising the bat after a fifty,” said Kishan, to which Chahal replied addressing the audience, “Are you looking at the attitude.” But Kishan was quick to explain further: “But then, I hear Virat bhai’s voice from behind urging me to raise the bat and show it to everyone,” ‘Oye Chaaro taraf bat dikha, sabko bat dikha’ Virat exclaimed.

Ishan Kishan further went on to discuss about the energy-level of Virat Kohli on the field. He said, “Initially, it was difficult to match his levels. The energy he shows after a boundary or a double, I have never experienced before. But I understood at this level what sort of body language one needs to have. These sort of things I learnt from him.”
“Seniors like Virat bhai, Hardik bhai advised me to enjoy my game,” Kishan added.
The 3rd India vs England T20I will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on 16 March, 7 pm IST.
