Authorities in Dubai have closed down a restaurant in Jumeirah for failing to adhere to Covid-19 precautionary guidelines.

The restaurant was found to have violated the guidelines relating to wearing masks and physical distancing, in addition to holding celebrations despite the restrictions imposed on such events recently.
Dubai Economy, which issued the decision, said it is continuing inspections across commercial centres and open markets to ensure compliance with Covid safety guidelines.

The authority added any violation or malpractice found by inspectors or reported by the public would not be tolerated.
Dubai Economy has directed businesses to strictly adhere to the precautionary measures and called on the public to report any harmful practices they come across through the Dubai Consumer App, by calling 600545555, or via the Consumerrights.ae website.
